Building a Website?

I am in search of some help. I would like to create a website that is similar to facebook in terms of creating profiles, however I would like for there to be a media player on each profile that allows the user to upload music. As well, I would like to connect it to a paypal payment system. I would like for there to be two types of profiles. One is business profiles and one for regular user profiles. Can someone point me in the right direction in terms of where to start. Front-end or back? What tools do I need to utilize?
