I am planning to create an app which will be using user's location, storing their accounts data, and displaying certain communicates according to the person's location. It is also to allow some chat between the users. I am wondering about the best option to store this data.

The most appealing option to me is the Network Connection. However, then comes the question of the servers. I want this app to be devloped into quite a huge project, and may store data of many users.
So in general I have two main questions: 1. Which option I should use for storage? 2. If to use servers - should I start creating my own server now or use sites like Google Cloud Platform or any other similar service? E.g. parse.com
