How do I get the real image path?

I'm stuck at a probably easy problem: I'm trying to cache an image to reduce the server, but I can't save the image and view it.

The problem when I want to save it: I save the file with file_put_contents, but the content of the file is just the URL above, not the image, so I can't view it in my browser
