Sometimes when loading dense webpages in chrome, you can see the syncing icon in a tab spinning first counter-clockwise, and then switching to clockwise. example screenshot (going clockwise):

Does counter-clockwise signify backend execution and clockwise signify frontend? What are the practical reasons for having two directions?
