Which API / plug-in to use for dynamic filtering in a webpage?

I have assigned a task to look-up for a API / plug-in for dynamic filtering on a data-set. The UI will be embedded in a webpage.

The API/plug-in must allow the user to
1 - Add filters on the fields
2 - Save all the filters as a group for later use
3 - execute query with filters when commanded
