Why does this famous stackoverlow website hide its "logout" menu deeply?

I experienced a difficulty to find the logout menu in this newly joined and wonderful stackoverflow website. Is this a good design or good intention? That's why I am asking since this kind of a leading website must show to its leadership in its design in every detail, I believe. I would like to know if there are some reasons.
