Web Deployment on Application and web server

i am new to web deployment. I have been given access to

• two application servers and one cluster.


• two web servers and one load balancer.


• one database server

i have a problem in working with them and how to use each one of them and i do not get the help i need from the administrators.

i have done the following:

• added a folder in the app server 1 and shared it


• added a web site in the web server 1 and tried to link it to the shared folder in app server 1 and cannot connect. (Network path is not found).

Is that the right thing to do?

Please i need to know what to do with these server in order to have the site up and running. Please help.
