I want to recieve the response from cleverbot send it to voiceover, recognise response and send response to clever bot

So in detail. i'm new to programming in general, but i have open source programs which can do text to speech and speech to text, all i need help with is how do i get the response that google's chatbot "cleverbot" sends me off of the web page and into the speech synthesizer? and also how do i then do the opposite? send the recognized text from the speech recognizer back to the cleverbot webpage? in the end my goal is to do this on a raspberry pi and shove it into a toaster thereby making what sounds like a sentient sassy toaster. I know little to no code so really anything helps!
