API/Insertion of values in HTML

I'm really a beginner in everything that is web programming but I think I was doing pretty well by searching on the internet until today...

I'm working on Anki to insert values from an API but the available resources are really incomprehensible for me ;( ...

I would have liked to extract this api (https://api.dictionaryapi.dev/api/v2/entries/es/) and be able, depending on the gender of the word, to create a or a bootstrap badge with masculine or feminine.

Is this only possible with HTML and JS?
