Why isn't there any web WYSIWYG textarea editor? [closed]

I'm making a site and I wanted to have a page to create articles (on a blog), so I looked for WYSIWYG editors. I found some really interesting like Quill and Pell, but both have their content inside a div. To use it in a form, we need to use js to take these divs' content, and put it in an input in the form, before form submission.

It's a workaround that works, but I feel like it's really ugly. Is it just me or is it ugly for real? And I really wonder what a text editor can be useful for if we can't even use it in a form.

I'm looking for a text editor that works cleanly with textareas, but if you have other solutions that don't necessarily involve a form and are clean I take too.
