What technology/framework to use to create Ads Website?

I got a task to create Ads Website for a company, which deals with construction equipment. The company needs to present equipment, which it offers for sale at the moment. In the homepage, the user should see most recently added equipment and then also be able to do some basic searching based on Category, Brand, Price, etc.

There will be a person/team in the company, who would be managing ads and should be able to perform the following operations with the system:

• Add new ads to the system
• Delete existing ads in the system
• Update existing ads in the system

My idea: Build a Bootstrap HTML/Template with basic design. Implement some PHP into it to connect it with MySQL Database, where ads will be stored.

Then build a simple CRUD PHP Site, where the company's person/team will be able to add/edit/delete ads, which will be secured by simple authentication.

My question is to someone who has experience with this kind of tasks - is this the correct approach? I have no experience with Wordpress, but would it be easier to do it in Wordpress? Or should I use a completely different framework, to begin with?

I want to use something, which will be relatively quick to build and will have a steep learning curve. I do not want to create everything from scratch - this is why I am planning to buy templates etc.

My experience - HTML, PHP, Boostrap, Python.

All ideas welcome.
