Where do I find correct terminology to learn to pull data and posts from the web? Swift and iOS specifically.

I've looked all over, and come up empty because I'm not even sure what I should be looking for. What I want to do is add a section to this app that is updated when someone updates their site. For example this particular part I want is to have when they add a new blog post, the post will also be added to the app without them having to download and install a new update just to get the new content?

Im not asking for any solutions specifically or for someone to spell it out. Just some names and terms so that I can look into it myself. I have no problem learning, but Im so new to soft and programing just I feel like the information has to be out there, Im just not asking the right questions or using the right terminology.

In the current class Im taking, we're making a weather app, and thats going to be pulling data from a website, but Im still not sure if that information is going to be helpful for pulling actual news and content or articles from one?
