Index GitHub repository homepage on Google

I have created a repository called PythonBRMLtoolbox . It has 2 branches:

• master
• gh-pages

I tried searching on google multiple key-words, among which "PythonBRMLtoolbox GitHub MauroCE" (where "MauroCE" is my username) however the homepage of my repository never shows up. (by homepage I mean (https://github.com/MauroCE/PythonBRMLtoolbox/ )

So I tried to index it on Google. While I managed to index gh-pages branches by going to Google Search Console, adding https://mauroce.github.io/PythonBRMLtoolbox/ as Property and verifying it by uploading the Google HTML verification file, I couldn't do the same for the website https://github.com/MauroCE/PythonBRMLtoolbox.

I think this is because while the HTML file in gh-pages is basically in the index of the page, this is not the case for the standard https://ift.tt/2Oho9j7

I can see that there are loads of GitHub repositories showing up on Google search results, however mine never shows up, although I have a lot of keywords. Why is this the case? How can I make it so that my GitHub repository is showing up?
