C# Web Automation - WatiN still the best option?

I want to perform specific operations on a website with c# code.The best I found when I searched 'c# web automation' was WatiN. But all these threads were really old (>5 years) and the official website of watiN is no more. Is WatiN still the best option or are there better one i did not found? I just want to open a website and click on buttons, send input to fields etc. and it would be amazing if this would be possible in background.

Does anyone know what is the best option to do this currently?
