Sony : Is it possible to access & control a remote camera from a web browser

I am trying to access and control a Sony remote camera directly from a web browser.

The Sony documentation is giving iOS and Android examples only. Besides, it talks about SSDP, which does not seem to be an easy thing on a web browser.

Also, I need the communication staying between the device where the browser is (a tablet for example) and the camera, not using a remote server between them.

So, my question is: would anyone know if and how it is possible to do so only from a web page, not being forced to develop a mobile app for that ?

If that is not possible with a Sony camera but with another one, I would definitely appreciate any advice.
