iNotes with event listeners

I used Selection Listener in an Eclipse Plugin for the Notes Client. In this way I was able to react when a user chooses a mail or an appointment.

I realize that I cannot apply an Eclipse Plugin directly to iNotes, but I am looking for the basic technique of event listeners in iNotes to react to selections.

Code snippets are welcome. Thanks in advance!
