Retrieving Stock Information

I recently started learning c# and am very intrigued by the capabilities. I noticed an option in the toolbox in Microsoft Visual Studio that said something about interacting with web pages. I also just started my own E-Trade account and that got me thinking about making an application that could go onto my account and retrieve my portfolio and display the information all with one button.

1. Is that even possible?

2. If possible, how would I go about doing this, and are there any tutorials/guides I could look at?
