Restrict custom uri protocol to specific domain?

I have created a custom protocol myapp: to launch an app with an html link such as <a href="myapp:">Launch App</a>.

Question: Can I restrict this so that it's only possible to use this protocol from a specific domain? Or have the domain passed from the html page to my app so I can verify the origin my self?
