Wireless scanner , java web application

We have a Wireless Scanner currently connected to the Desktop application via Wavelink Studio. we changing the desktop application to Web application and we need to integrate the wireless scanner without Wavelink Studio.

is there any open source /Java API available which does similar like wavelink? or any other pointers to integrate web application with a wireless scanner will be appreciated. Thanks!
