mobx Invariant failed - seen in console when click a button on the page

trying to use a tool/ web application to create graphs. Very much a newbie.

Getting this error when pressing a button on the webpage:

Error: [mobx] Invariant failed: Side effects like changing state are not allowed at this point. Are you trying to modify state from, for example, the render function of a React component? Tried to modify: Dataset@62.subcategoryId

Can anyone suggest how to fix this?
