Web dev - any way to load info from local file

Hello I have a website that should present a information table by different categories.

im planning to make one complete page with a table and depending on which category chosen, put the info in the table. the info is laying in seperate file with can be easily modified, in JSON type (or any other type if needed).

so how can i import this info in to my javascript files? or is there any other way to do it easier?

im specialising on ios dev but learning the web dev now.
