How do I redirect www to non-www WITHOUT Apache?

I'm in the process of building a website, and I've settled for a naked domain.

I see that a lot of websites will re-direct you from ''www.example.com'' to ''example.com''. Which is exactly what I need as well! Though, I can't seem to find ANY solution that doesn't use Apache/htaccess! I've been looking for days!

Does anyone know a solution where I can totally get rid of www. without Apache/htaccess? I'm having issues with duplicate content like share-counters and Disqus.
