Would it be unwise to work remotely as a junior developer?

I'm going to graduate soon. I've also been working part time doing web development work, but that's going to end soon.

Would it be unwise to find remote work after I graduate? I'm asking because I would prefer to stay in my home town a bit longer, but there's no jobs here at all; I would have to move to a big city and I want to delay this for now.

I assume I'll learn less, and do less interesting work if I find a remote job as a junior developer.
