How to deploy a website with a registered domain and apache installed

So currently I am trying to deploy a personal website. I have purchased a domain from google domains that I would like to use as my public domain for my site. I am exploring using my desktop as a web server (I don't expect much if any at all traffic to my site more just for practice/proof of concept) I have installed Apache and gotten to the point where when I go to localhost in a browser it pulls up the "It works" apache page. I also have a local directory that contains my website including an index.html and all of the related CSS JS etc subdirectories. My question is sort of a noob question where I can't seem to get the final step set in stone to actually deploy my website using the domain I reserved. Is there a tool that can help with this or should I keep pushing to get my local apache installed server to work? Im open to exploring virtual hosting sites to get it up and running I just want it to be deployed so I can start messing with simple database scripting using my site. Anything to help point me in the right direction is helpful. Thanks.
