Dynamic webapp in Python

So I have this script that is going to produce some results. What I want to build is a webapp that displays the results that the script sends at certain points. What can I use? And are there any good tutorials or something to help me out? Because I am quite new in web-programming. I was thinking of writing a server that listens on a socket, the results from the script, and then sends them to a Flask app, which displays them in the browser. Is it a good idea, or do I have a completely wrong idea on my head? I should point out that the server is going to run locally on my computer. Thank you in advance
