Can I become an employable front end developer in 5-6 months time by studying on my own

Question says it all. I want to become a front end developer in 6 months time. I'm not completely new to Web development but I want to stand at a level where I can be able to look for a job in as less time as I can. Sorry if my question is at the wrong place or wrong itself but really want to change the career path into full time front end developer. Any suggestions and guidelines are welcome. Thanks
