Making a C# application for Picarto.tv

I am making a chat bot for Picarto.tv. Currently stuck at netcode. Need to be able to login to the site, change channels and receive/send chat messages, but i have no idea where to even start:(

I have tried fooling around with sockets and HttpWebRequests, but it didn't amount to much.

Are there any comprehensive how-to's, tutorials or maybe compatible bots i could use/copy?
