How to use Sencha EXT JS

I'm developing a web application on a Debian environment. It contains a lot of graphics, so I would like to use Sencha EXT JS framework for the client-side in order to make scripts, but I don't know very well where to start. I read a lot of pages that explain it, but I have doubts like: which version should i use, etc...

Could someone help me?
