Can I add JPA too a dynamic Web Project?

I have a working Dynamic Web Project and now want to persist a few classes. Is it possible that I add JPA to this porject by just adding the neccessary annotations and information?? Or do I have to change everything? And if the latter is the solution can you please explain me how to do it??
