Netbeans is creating incomplete project structure for Maven Web Project

I am using Netbeans to create a Maven Web Project. The project structure created by Netbeans is shown in the first picture below. Just two directories and that is all. Which is kinda weird. I am using Netbeans 8.0.1.

I expect the Maven Web Project structure to be something like show below.

Does anybody have any idea what's happening ?
