how to protect my web system in codeigniter with sql server against possible attacks ? What I need?

I want to place in the cloud. a control system of support, but I want to avoid possible attacks, and all you can restrict entry to unauthorized users . What technologies should I use? I work with : php - codeigniter SQL Server
