How to build client side python/scripting bot application?

I am writing python scripts which are suppose to connect to my broker website with userName and password provided. They will be constantly fetching some market data from broker website. Now could you please point me python tutorial or suggest some alternate technology easy to learn to build client side scripting application interacting with website. Willing to learn something new if its easy and scalable
