Automatically verifying and linking to apps from google play

I am making a website that allows user to search through a database of android apps of a specific type.My database consists of the names of the application and the developer . The problem at the moment is that the database is quit old and some of the apps have been taken off google play.

I was wondering if there's a way to automatically check if apps in my database are present on google play and also return url for the description page of the app so that I can link them for my website
