Web video: load just a clip from a large video

I am working in a web application for controlling a device that records large videos (~12 hours / ~3 GB) and I am interested in loading just a clip of one of those videos into any web-embeddable video player (I don't care about the technology as long as it is cross-browser). The thing is that users may play clips of large videos and I'd like to prevent them from loading unnecessary footage. Is this even possible?

what is googles actual search function

so as almost most do myself also use Google a lot and I keep doing research on Google search box and try different search quires with manipulation and replacing position of words so i try and see how Google search function works and what it is, i.e how they search for text in web pages and how they sort the results,i need any example and/or search technique available,no matter what you think i would like to look at it and see it,this is because i don't know how they search text for millions of pages and how they sort them so any example is well accepted, I also know about web crawler and indexer Pagerank and Hits algorithm but i don't mean that,what i mean is in the actual Php or c++ code what are the actual functions that deliver the job and find results (i.e what the secret algorithm that they hide could be?) looking to hearing from you

How to execute click() in jQuery

This code basically takes 'textmoney' and figures out how much a person makes a year. to execute this function you have to press enter. I also have a div called 'moneydiv' that will do the same function, but it seems if i have both functions in the same script neither will work. How would i code to have the user to be able to do both functions? How would i code the click() with the div?

Jquery:

<script src="http://ift.tt/1yCEpkO"></script>
<script>
$(document).ready(function() {

var $demo = $('#demo');
var $textMoney = $('#textmoney');
var $moneydiv = $('#moneydiv');

.keydown(function(e) {
if (e.keyCode === 13) {
var money = $(this).val();
if (isNaN(money) || money === '') {
$demo.text('You aint enter no $$$$$$');
} else {
var dailyE = $(this).val() / 365;
$demo.text('$' + dailyE + ' per day');
}
} else if ($(this).val() === '') {
$demo.text('');
}
}).mouseover(function() {
$(this).css('border', '1px solid black');
}).mouseout(function() {
$(this).css('border', '1px solid grey');
});

});
</script>

Modal/dialog for login/signup for an Angular app

I'm trying to implement a login/signin dialog for my app (something like that of Medium) I have searched a lot about it online and I think I will go with the $modal from angular ui-bootstrap. I'm wondering if someone can direct me to a tutorial for making something like that using $model. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Basic Website Design

I'm in an intro web development and have been tasked to recreate this web page:

I was curious what the CSS sheet would look like and which elements would be best to use to recreate it. Our teacher hasn't really explained how to code in HTML much, nor how to incorporate CSS.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is a web server the hardware or sofware

I have seen many different explanations and phrases thrown around and i just wanted clarification on what the term web server is referring to . Does it mean the actual software like Apache that handles requests, or does it mean/describe the physical server machine unit ,which is what i initially thought it was. If anyone can shed light on the correct terminology then that would be great thanks.

How web languages work?

I know how general purpose languages like C or C++ work. I mean you write a C or C++ source code and you use a compiler to produce an object or directly exe file which contains machine code for cpu to do the work. But I'm wondering how all web languages work like HTML/CSS/Javascript etc.? I mean how they are executed? who executes them? How are they translated? Because you cant compile web languages like HTML with compiler like gcc and run it... Does the browser have some HTML engine that understands the HTML and then translates it to C or what code?
